Gave zh8e8sg7xu3fua9rk3jf a shot after a colleague swore by it for getting through short daily tasks. Background audio continues uninterrupted when the screen locks, which is the expected behavior. The good comfortably outweighs the bad at this point in the app's maturity.

Been using zh8e8sg7xu3fua9rk3jf in the background for quiet tasks I don't need to think about. The audio player doesn't remember the last position if the app is killed by the system overnight. Still the best option I've found for this task — three years and counting.

Keeping zh8e8sg7xu3fua9rk3jf installed primarily for the cloud backup feature, which has saved me twice. The minimum font size option is still too large for comfortable reading at my preferred brightness. Four stars is a fair score right now — the app is close to excellent, not quite there.
