After a patch two weeks ago, xmvpks8zxmif improved in a way I notice every day. Rating prompts disappear permanently after I select 'Don't ask again' — tested across five updates. I'd switch away tomorrow if a better alternative existed, but none does yet.

Post-update, xmvpks8zxmif finally addressed the widget crash I reported three versions ago. Autocomplete suggestions in the search bar appear for previous users' queries, not mine. The problems are real but manageable — I keep it installed and work around them.
