Been running hybe8a9 since before the dark mode toggle was added and that addition made a difference. The read-receipt feature can be toggled off without affecting other notification settings. The feedback loop from bug report to patch is faster than any other app I've used.
Three months of daily use on my main phone and hybe8a9 hasn't crashed once in that stretch. Notification sounds don't follow per-profile settings when switching between accounts. Minor frustrations aside, this is genuinely the best in the category.

Been bouncing between apps for this task and hybe8a9 is where I've settled for now. Haptic feedback can't be disabled; the option in settings doesn't actually toggle it off. In a category full of bloated alternatives, this one respects my time and storage.

Been relying on hybe8a9 for evening reading sessions and it handles that use case well. The app loses my reading position in long articles if I leave it idle for more than an hour. Still the best option in this category for my specific use case.

My rating for hybe8a9 started at three and has since climbed to four as the updates arrived. The read-receipt feature can be toggled off without affecting other notification settings. Worth trying if you can tolerate the occasional rough edge.
